JAKARTA - ACM Mercantile Exchange (ACM Exchange) and PT Smartin Advisor Sistem (Smartin) are collaborating as part of efforts to strengthen investment literacy and public understanding of the importance of risk mitigation in investment activities.

The collaboration focuses on education supported by technology as a means of helping investors better understand markets and make more informed and measured decisions.

The initiative was realized through a journalist workshop titled “Utilizing Technology for Risk Mitigation in the Futures and Crypto Markets,” held in Jakarta on Wednesday (12/8/2026). The event also involved Dupoin Futures and Bittime and aimed to broaden public understanding of technology-driven investment literacy through the media.

During the workshop, ACM Exchange and Smartin discussed the importance of building investors’ understanding before making investment decisions, including knowledge of market characteristics, potential opportunities, and associated risks.

As a neutral commodity exchange within the trading ecosystem, ACM Exchange supports the development of market literacy through collaboration with various industry stakeholders. Meanwhile, Smartin, as a futures advisor, plays a role in providing education, information, and knowledge to help investors better understand investment activities and risk management.

Arwadi J Setiabudi, President Director of ACM Mercantile Exchange.
Speaks about the importance of investor education and risk awareness in investment activities.

"Investment and risk are inseparable. Therefore, understanding investment and its associated risks should be an important part of the decision-making process before investors take action", he said.

According to Arwadi, investment decisions ultimately remain in the hands of individual investors. Therefore, neutral education can serve as an important starting point to equip investors with knowledge aligned with their objectives and risk profiles.

Media representatives attend the journalist workshop.
Discusses the use of technology to enhance understanding of investment and risk mitigation.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Smartin Advisor Sistem, Odang Supriatna, explained that the rapid development of digital technology has provided investors with various tools to support market analysis and investment decision making.

Smartin provides a range of tools and services, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Expert Advisors (EA), trading signals, technical indicators, and educational programs covering various investment instruments. These technologies are designed to help investors access information and conduct analysis in a more systematic manner.

"We also have two Expert Advisors (EA), namely Tradingmatic Bot for MT4, which uses a single-shoot strategy, and Quadran EA for MT5, which applies smart breakout trading to identify opportunities based on price movements," added Ervan Chandra Gunawan, CTO of PT Smartin Advisor Sistem (SAS).

Market Analyst at Dupoin Futures Indonesia, Geraldo Kofit, said that collaboration among industry players, technology providers, and the media is an important step toward strengthening digital financial literacy, while ensuring that technology adoption remains aligned with applicable regulations.

Nevertheless, technology cannot replace investor understanding or eliminate investment risks. Investors still need to understand the characteristics of the instruments they trade, the strategies being used, and the potential risks involved before conducting transactions.

From the perspective of Bittime Product Marketing Supervisor, Fini Charisa, technology also plays an increasingly important role in helping investors understand and manage risks in the digital asset market.

"Technology does not eliminate risk, but it can help make the trading process more structured and transparent while supporting better-informed decisions", she said.

Through this collaboration, ACM Exchange and Smartin aim to ensure that financial literacy and technology adoption go hand in hand in building more informed and risk-aware investors. The initiative also supports the development of a more transparent, educational, and responsible investment ecosystem.
